Most insurance companies give a discount if your property is near a fire hydrant or a fire station. But how do you know if you are getting all the credit you are entitled to? Contact your insurance agent or call us. Your agent can help you by looking up your address on our Web-based PROTECTION system for free. We have nearly all the fire hydrants in the state identified and active in our mapping system. But nearly all isn't good enough for us and it's not good enough for you if you've got one we don't know about. We work with water districts, fire departments, insurance agents, the internet, and home owners to find or correct any gaps that may exist in our maps. We work hard to be accurate and, though the large number of fire hydrants in Washington makes the task difficult, we strive for perfection. That's why we react quickly when informed by anyone about a hydrant we have not previously identified-- our system is corrected immediately, without waiting for field-verification of hydrants to take place first, and the property owner receives the benefit within days. So if you know of a potential omission, let us know! If you want to know whether or not your hydrant is in our system, please call your Agent or our Customer Service line: 206.217.0101 and we'll let you know at no charge. Our maps also include the most up to date information available on the location of fire stations. If you want to know more about the location of your community's fire stations, then once again your Agent or our Customer Service will provide you with the information.
